It dawned upon me that I could use wordpress to effectively manage the community hours I’d promised to members of my merchant network. It is the simplest, economical and practical approach to keeping tabs on pretty much everything from the project, the execution, the result and the review.
So, what is this about?
Technology sure has boomed in the past 30 years or so, to the point where we share information in an instant, using one or a variety of communication mediums such as the internet, fax, or telephone. Video and sound, in addition to higher connection speeds and user friendly applications make it easier, as effective, more economical and practical to conduct meetings and collaborate with others virtually, without having to be physically present at a specific location. Instead individuals can engage in information processing using their personal computers and software skills. All of which is pretty neat if you ask me.
So why aren’t we all working from our own locations? Why do many of us still take the hour long commute to work, five days a week, twice a day? What else could we have done with those 10 hours besides sit in a car, create more pollution, loose our patience and experience anxiety on the days where things are out of control? Wouldn’t it be great if we took a stand against time and tradition to begin a massive revolution to spend the energy gained (extra 30 to 40 hours per month) on something we’re passionate about or to simply reduce the number of commuters, accidents and pollution caused by transit? Well, I don’t want to imagine it, I want to live it.
This blog is here for the purpose of allowing those individuals interested in administrative assistance the opportunity to request services, which will be handled on a first come first serve basis, for free. Some restrictions do apply such as the following:
1. Offer is valid to members in my merchant network. If you are not a member and would like to request services, please click here to become a member today.
2. Up to One hour per day, five days a week are available on a first come first serve basis.
3. Limit one request per individual, two per company.
4. Upon completion of services, individuals are required to participate in a short survey.
My purpose is to demonstrate how productive we can be with the way we handle matters. Earlier I mentioned we could possibly gain back up to 10 hours a week and here I am donating five to the community. (The other five will more than likely be split between my two cats, the dog and turtle!)
I am an experienced administrative assistant with 10 years of experience, primarily in the health care setting. I understand the business process and can offer a perspective geared towards efficient and productive results. I can handle a variety of secretarial, clerical, administrative and creative activities from my own office, just as if I were physically present at yours. The benefits are beyond description with the exception of not having someone around to run out and grab you a cup of coffee.
[I do look forward to this project and hope that everyone can benefit from it]
Just for kicks, but raises a very good point about how “employees” can sometimes think and what that means to your bottom line.
